Songistry Inc., operating as SonifyMusic (“Songistry”, “SonifyMusic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with the SonifyMusic mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1. Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly, including: (a) account information (name, email, password, date of birth, country); (b) profile information (picture, bio, music interests, role); (c) user-generated content, such as User Content (as defined in our Terms of Service); (d) communications with us; and (e) payment information processed by Apple, Google, or another payment processor (we do not store card numbers).
1.2. Information Collected Automatically
We automatically collect: (a) device information (model, OS, language, IP, mobile network); (b) identifiers (Apple IDFV; IDFA with ATT permission; Android Advertising ID where applicable); (c) usage data (features used, screens viewed, sessions, crash logs); and (d) approximate location from IP. Precise location requires affirmative permission.
1.3. Information From Third Parties
We receive information from: (a) identity providers (Apple Sign-In, Google); (b) music industry data providers supplying chart, streaming, and catalog metadata; and (c) analytics and advertising partners.
1.4. Sensitive Information
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information and ask that you do not submit any.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:

provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including generating SoundScores;

create and manage your account and authenticate access;

process transactions and manage subscriptions;

communicate about the Service, including announcements, updates, security alerts, and support;

send marketing communications (where you have not opted out);

moderate User Content, enforce our Terms, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;

perform analytics, research, and product development on aggregated or de-identified data;

comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, property, and the safety of users and the public.
3. AI and Automated Processing
3.1. Our Models
We use machine-learning models to generate SoundScores, surface content, and moderate User Content. These models are trained on aggregated and de-identified data.
3.2. Third-Party AI Providers
Some Service features rely on AI models operated by third-party providers. Before personal data is shared, the Service presents a consent screen identifying (i) the AI provider, (ii) the categories of data shared, and (iii) the purpose. A current list of AI processors is available at soundscore.sonifymusic.com/ai-providers.
3.3. Labeling
Outputs that are materially generated by AI are labeled within the Service.
4. How We Share Information
4.1. Service Providers
We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, including cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, email delivery, payment processing, and content moderation.
4.2. Other Users
Your profile information and User Content may be visible to other users of the Service.
4.3. Corporate Transactions
If Songistry is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4.4. Legal and Safety
We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, lawful requests by public authorities, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Songistry, our users, or others.
4.5. With Your Consent
We share information for any other purpose with your consent.
4.6. No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration. However, your personal information, which may include User Content (as defined in the Terms of Service), may be used to train our models and the Service.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, perform analytics, and detect fraud. On iOS, you may control tracking via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We present Apple’s ATT prompt before tracking across other apps and websites.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to comply with legal obligations. Account information is deleted within 30 days following account deletion, except for information we are required or permitted to retain. De-identified and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, logging, and routine security testing. No system is perfectly secure.
8. International Transfers
We process personal information in the US. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and stored in the US. Where required, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How to exercise. Submit a request through Settings → Privacy → My Data within the application, or email privacy@sonifymusic.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (45 days under most US state laws, extendable by 45 days when reasonably necessary; one month under GDPR). We may need to verify your identity. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.
9.1. Account Deletion (Apple Requirement)
You may delete your account from within the Service at any time at Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and will remove your profile, User Content, and account history within the retention windows described in Section 6.
9.2. California Shine the Light
California residents may request a list of categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for those parties’ direct marketing purposes during the prior calendar year. Contact privacy@sonifymusic.ai.
9.3. Nevada Residents
Nevada residents may submit a verified request to opt out of the sale of certain covered information by emailing privacy@sonifymusic.ai.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe your child has provided information, contact privacy@sonifymusic.ai.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our web properties recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of “sale” and “sharing” of personal information as required by applicable US state laws. We do not separately respond to Do Not Track browser signals as there is no industry standard.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect.
